Ms. Kaitlyn and Mrs. Beth's Pre-K class have been engaged in a long-term Study of Faces project. Children are putting the finishing touches on their self-portraits and providing dictations about themselves to go with their self-portraits!Â

Cindy O'Brien, WV author, worked in Early Childhood for over 40 years. She visited Mrs. Brittany and Ms. Belinda's class! She gave us new books for our library- Agitated! And Can I Do It? Yes, I Can! She also brought her dulcimer and sang songs.

Our students took their creativity to the Mon County Art Show this weekend, and the results were nothing short of inspiring. We’re beaming with pride seeing Cheat Lake Elementary’s talent on display!
West Virginia Author Cindy O'Brien visited Ms. Kaitlyn and Mrs. Beth's Pre-K class today! She read her books Agitated and Can I Do It? Yes, I Can! She also did a music activity and introduced children to the dulcimer! Thank you Cindy for visiting our classroom and giving us two new books to add to our classroom library!Â
To kick off Careers Month, our students dressed up as the career they'd like to have one day! We had a school full of future police officers, doctors and teachers just to name a few!
